The Red Sea Safari Experience

In association with our partners in Egypt, our sport-fishing organisation is in the most southern Red Sea region of Egypt, around 160 km south of Marsa Alam International Airport. An excellent and beautiful popping and jigging fishing destination, only 4-5 hours’ direct flight from Europe, the only great Giant Trevally destination within such a short distance.

The weather conditions are perfect almost all year round. It very rarely rains, however you can sometimes encounter windy conditions and it’s very hot in July and August. This destination is for hard core anglers and will test some of your physical capacities. Fishing is possible all year around, however the best fishing time is from October till the end of June.

The huge fishing area we cover offers great potential and a fantastic variety of fishing spots, some nearer and some further away from the coast. Our fishing safaris allows you to reach the best areas in the Red Sea.

In addition you will have access to world famous scuba diving, snorkelling, wind and kite surf, beach relaxation, cultural excursions and visits of ancient Egyptian temples.

OPTION A) ‘Live aboard’ Sport Fishing Safari

A fishing safari is a fishing cruise. It follows a circle itinerary and is operated with anglers living aboard. Our 22m live aboard has a capacity for up to 6 people in 3 double cabins with 2 sharing toilet and shower facilities. The boat has a kitchen, bridge, dining area in and outside, DVD, echo sounder, GPS, electric generator, saloon and a terrace. The boats offer a good basic level of comfort and are very well adapted to this kind of fishing trip. In the late evening and at night you may continue fishing with live or dead baits from the stern terrace, it’s great fun – 24 hour fishing is possible!

Meals are prepared by a qualified chef, good Egyptian food (not hot), and also fresh fish of course. Our clients give us very good returns on the food. Full board treatment including drinking water, coffee and tea. Beers & wine can be ordered separately in advance, we practice normal European prices. Soft drinks are also available and can be paid at the end of the trip. Other activities on the live aboard are snorkelling, scuba diving on special request only, kayaking, sun and fun.

This category of fishing safari will give you the best sensations and the most intense fishing time. It’s made for anglers who are focused on tropical fishing for popping and jigging. Anglers will be accommodated on our live aboard. For fishing we use our 29 feet, twin engine, centre console fast boats, we can operate up to two fishing boats at the same time. During the day, your live aboard is moving further while you are fishing different spots around the area.

The advantage of this concept is that you don’t need to head back to the port in the evening and lose precious fishing time. Your “home” is at sea. On lunch breaks you may enjoy snorkelling on a reef edge or just relax and prepare for the afternoon fishing. At night, the live aboard is anchored behind the reef barrier, protected from wind and waves. Non fishing accompanying people can also join and enjoy activities such as kayaking, snorkelling, sun bathing and a relaxed atmosphere. Also suited for families. From 2 - 8 anglers.

Fishing techniques: popping (with poppers & stick baits), jigging (140 - 300gr) and trolling, also night and bottom-fishing with baits. Our local fishing guides know the area very well. You will fish on high marine plateaus, reef drops, channels, surface reefs and some islands.

The amount of fishing spots is countless within a totally virgin area of the Red Sea. Our fishing areas are free from industrial fishing and totally unspoiled. We apply “catch & release” except the occasional fish for the table.

We operate 2 identical 29’ centre console fishing boats. They are both powered by twin Yamaha 85HP outboard engines, are fully equipped for fishing with the latest Combo GPS / fish finder, inside combat protection, rod holders and full security equipment.

These boats are very stable at sea and can each take up to max. 4 anglers, ideally 2 - 3 anglers for better fishing comfort. With these boats you can cast from the best possible distance to reefs. The boats reach the best spots in a short time each day. 2 fishing platforms of around 2x2 meters, one in the bow and one in the stern, are ideal for popping & jigging.

Our Fishing Policy

We never operate 2 separate groups of anglers at the same time/week. If possible, we plan min. 10 days interval between 2 weeks of fishing.

Your fishing equipment should be fully adapted to the type and power of the fish you are going to encounter.

We recommend you change out your popper and stick baits to one large treble hook (7-9/0) at the back of your lure. This way you will do less damage to the fish and you will have less failed hook-ups.
