Every year during the beginning of July and the mid of September, there are Black Marlin coming up to the Watamu reefs. This time is not only high season for Black Marlin, but also plenty of Tuna, Kingfish, Sailfish, Giant Trevally, big Barracuda and Wahoo.
With this group trip we targeting to catch the Black Marlin with our trolling and spinning rods. Most of the time we troll with livebaits or using teasers for Marlin and Sailfish to get them on the spin rods.
On one or two days, we are also able to go to the North Kenya Banks for Tuna and Marlin fishing. The banks are full with good size Yellowfin Tuna.
Traditionally trolling is the most used technique in Kenya to catch the billfish and Yellowfin Tuna. But we will focus on the more exciting techniques like bait & switch and spin fishing for these fast and powerful predators.
Day 1: All anglers fly out and arrive at Moi International Airport in Mombasa. They will be picked up by our private Transport and will reach Malindi and our Hotel appr. two hours later. Anglers have time to enjoy the all-inclusive services.
Day 2 to 7: Anglers will go on the hunt for Black Marlin as well as Sailfish, Wahoo, Kingfish and other species. Every day they will fish for 10 hours of Big Game Fishing with some of the best Captains and boats in Kenya! One or two of the days we will take our anglers to the North Kenya Banks, one of the best spots for trolling for Yellowfin Tuna and huge Black Marlin.
Day 8: Depending on flights, anglers will leave the Hotel back to Mombasa. Our tour ends with the drop-off at Moi International Airport in Mombasa.

As we use no hooks in our teasers, you will have to chance to pitch your bait right in front of the angry billfish and hook it just a few meters away from the boat. This very exciting and successful way of fishing also works with your fly rod.
The classic trolling techniques will be also used. We fish with lures, strip-baits and live baits for the giants of the ocean. As there are many different techniques we can use during this trip, we make sure that every angler will get a fantastic week of fishing.
Kenya provides a lot of possibilities for big game fishing, so there is a high variety of how you can fish down there.
